It’s August, and the new school year is starting. There’s no way to not think about school! In fact, I’ve already started my Physics course. It’s confusing and kind of stressful to think about all the schoolwork that I’ll see in the next few months. Here’s a layout of my courses.

I have a college history course at Oregon State University – it starts September 21st. It’ll probably be taking up most of my time, so it’s #1 on the ‘Top Classes to Stress Out About” list.

There’s a high school geometry class – starting September 1st, which meets three times per week. I’m taking that through Live Online Math. This is a class that I really like, because it’s presented in a way that teaches ‘How something works,’ not just that it works. Although, it is #2 on the ‘Top Classes to Stress Out About” list. (T.C.S.O.A)

Then, a favorite 0f mine, Druidawn, a creative writing / roleplaying class that meets once a week. There is no real stress with this one, and it is one of the classes I’ll be looking forward to every week. Definitely something that will brighten my day! (And probably one I spend way too much time working on…)

As I mentioned before, I’m currently in an eight-week Physics college class, through the University of Virginia. It’s tough, so it’s probably around #3 on my ‘T.C.S.O.A.” list.  I’m going to be taking it for the first half of the semester, and I’m looking for a chemistry class to follow up for the second half of the semester.

I have an English class, with a private teacher. We focus heavily on literature, vocabulary, and writing. It’s great to have her to help me finalize my college papers. It’s one of my favorite classes along with Druidawn! (oh, she also helps me with SAT prep)

My mom will be teaching Health (Although health is part of our everyday life in our house) and Home Economics. I am not sure what these classes will be covering, but I am hoping she will teach me a little bit more about herbal and essential oils.  And for my last class, both my parents will be teaching me Computer Science. (Although in my mom’s case I may have to help her…)

That is quite a course load for me, but I’ve handled this size workload before, and I can handle it again.

Funny, as I look back at my Take a Step post, I ask myself, Has it really been a year? I can’t believe how far I’ve come, and I’m amazed that I’m starting school again, but this time without quite as much dread.

I’m looking back at some of my other posts as well, and I still think, How is it possible I’ve grown this much in such a seemingly small amount of time?

Yet another step, into another school year!

Bring it on!

My Featured Song of the Week

Battlefield – SVRCINA

Battlefield – SVRCINA

Lyrics

No time for rest
No pillow for my head
Nowhere to run from this
No way to forget

Around the shadows creep
Like friends, they cover me
Just wanna lay me down and finally
Try to get some sleep

[Bridge]
We carry on through the storm
Tired soldiers in this war
Remember what we’re fighting for

[Chorus]
Meet me on the battlefield
Even on the darkest night
I will be your sword, your shield, your camouflage
And you will be mine

Echos and the shots ring out
We may be the first to fall
Everything can stay the same or we can change it all

Meet me on the battlefield

[Verse 2]
We stand face-to-face
With our unhuman race
We commit the sins again and our sons and daughters pay
Our tainted history, it’s playing on repeat
But we could change it if we stand up strong and take the lead

[Bridge]
When I was younger, I was named
A generation unafraid
(For years to come, be brave)

[Chorus]
And meet me on the battlefield
Even on the darkest night
I will be your sword, your shield, your camouflage
And you will be mine

Echos and the shots ring out
We may be the first to fall
Everything can stay the same or we can change it all

Meet me on the battlefield

[Bridge]
We carry on through the storm
Tired soldiers in this war
Remember what we’re fighting for

[Chorus]
Meet me on the battlefield
Even on the darkest night
I will be your sword, your shield, your camouflage
And you will be mine

Echos and the shots ring out
We may be the first to fall
Everything can stay the same or we can change it all
(We can change it all)

Meet me on the battlefield

Meet me on the battlefield
(We could change it all)
